Creating Christmas Memories

There’s no place like home for the holidays, right? I’m working on making my home feel as cozy and Christmassy as possible. I’ve been stocking up on inexpensive decorations and even did some DIY wreaths. Last year my then one-year-old thought it was hysterical to rip the tops off all my pretty ornaments. I figure I’ll keep most of my decorations inexpensive until my girls are a bit older. I found a ton of adorable bows and ribbon at the dollar store and made my first ever wreaths. It’s nothing fancy and could be seen as an eyesore, but I love it. My daughter Gabriella loved “helping” me pick where to add the bows and ribbon.

I’m going to be hosting Christmas this year for my family, and I have been going little nuts on Pinterest creating boards of all the things. I’m definitely doing a hot chocolate bar, so I’ve been on the hunt for super cute and quirky mugs.

One of my favorite Youtubers mentioned how every Christmas Eve her father would read to their family, The Night Before Christmas. I thought to myself how I would love to make those kinds of memories for my children. I then immediately Googled what the best version of the book was and ordered it off Amazon. I literally can’t wait to leave out milk and cookies for Santa after reading the book to my girls on Christmas Eve! Since I never believed in Santa, I think this tradition will make the holidays that much more magical to my little angels.

Here are a couple pictures of the mugs I purchased from Ross and the new book we can add to our Christmas collection.
